Here's a look at the state of home equity rates from's weekly national survey of large banks and thrifts conducted March 17, 2010.

Rate: 5.76 percent (line of credit); 7.75 percent (loan)

Rates on home equity products remained unchanged this week.

The average home equity line of credit, or HELOC, was 5.76 percent. Meanwhile, home equity loan rates remain at 7.75 percent.
