Wal-Mart offers gift cards in denominations ranging from $5 to $1,000. Cards can be purchased online or at Wal-Mart or Sam's Club stores. Free shipping is available for cards purchased online.
Wal-Mart gift cards have no expiration date, maintenance fees or purchase fees.
In addition to a physical gift card, Wal-Mart sells cards in an e-card format, and the card is reloadable. The recipient must print e-cards for use in store.
In the case of loss or theft, Wal-Mart will replace the card if you have the original receipt.

Wal-Mart offers more than 8 dozen versions of its e-cards, including Just Fur You Dog, It's a Girl and Hooray! You Did it! cards. It also offers many physical gift cards, including its standard Wal-Mart blue.

- E-cards come in different denominations than physical cards. A standard gift card is available in denominations ranging from $10 to $1,000, while e-card denominations are $5 to $200.
- The retailer offers PINs for its gift cards, a security enhancement that protects against theft.
- You can check your gift card balance online.
- You cannot earn rewards by using a Wal-Mart gift card.
