Credit card rates were unchanged this week, according to Bankrate's latest survey of interest rates.
The average annual percentage rate, or APR, for fixed-rate credit cards was 13.02 percent, while the APR for variable-rate cards was 15.61 percent. The APR for fixed-rate credit cards has held steady since early 2013. The APR for variable-rate cards was stagnant this week after falling 1 basis point last week.
This week, new TransUnion data revealed that credit card delinquencies are at a seven-year low. According to the credit bureau, the average credit card debt per borrower increased only slightly -- from $5,226 in the second quarter of 2013 to $5,234 in the second quarter of 2014.
