How did your actual holiday spending compare to what you had intended or expected to spend?

Holiday spending: A frugal affair

Economic uncertainties appear to have influenced holiday shopping. Respondents who spent less than expected easily outnumbered those who spent more than anticipated. Although the December Financial Security Index found that most Americans didn't have a holiday budget, slightly more than half in the January survey say they spent about what they expected.
