Dec. 2010 Financial Security Poll
Introducing an exclusive for Bankrate readers: The Bankrate Financial Security Index.
As one of the country's leading sources for consumer news and personal finance information, Bankrate is well aware that investors, savers and shoppers had their sense of security stripped away in the last couple of years.
The Bankrate Financial Security Index is our attempt to measure precisely how consumers are feeling. Teaming with Princeton Survey Research Associates International, the Bankrate Financial Security Index polled households across the country, from virtually every demographic group and geographic region, on subjects like job security, debt fears and savings frustrations. We even asked about holiday budgets.
The answers are a snapshot of a tentative recovery, and a wary public. But those things will change, and the Bankrate Financial Security Index will be there to document their movement. Each month we'll conduct a new poll, updating the Bankrate Financial Security Index, and comparing what we find with previous results. Over time, the index will help us chart the unceasing changes in how Americans save, spend and think.
It's one more reason to turn to Bankrate for authoritative information on the financial news that affects you most.
