Yields: 1.26 percent (1-year CD yield); 2.23 percent (5-year CD yield)The CD yields surveyed for this report barely budged this week. The average yield for one-year and five-year CDs held steady at 1.26 percent and 2.23 percent, respectively.
The average yield for one-year jumbo CDs dropped 1 basis point to 1.37 percent; but the five-year jumbo remained at last week's 2.25 percent.
Yields don't provide much return when they're stagnating at these levels, but that's the state of standard CDs these days.
The average money market account yield shed 1 basis point this week to come in at 0.39 percent.
