Audi

With six production sites throughout the world and more than 58,000 employees, Audi is a top German automobile manufacturer. Audi was founded by August Horch in 1899 as "A. Horch & Cie." After disputes with the advisory board, Horch formed a new company named "Audiwerke GmbH" on April 25, 1910. Audi introduced the very first left-hand driver side car in 1921 and put out the first mass-produced front-wheel drive car in 1931. In 1997 Audi introduced the A8 to the U.S.

Audi AG holds its corporate headquarters in Ingolstadt, Germany. With its main markets in Europe and the U.S., Audi offers premium automobiles to consumers. A majority of Audi stock is held by Volkswagen AG.
