Honda Fit
- Starting price: $15,325
- Gas mileage: 27 mpg city/33 mpg highway
With a length of about 13 feet, the Honda Fit may not be a parallel parker's dream, but with a width of 5 feet 5 inches, it's a natural when it comes to cramming a small car into those ever-shrinking compact spaces at shopping malls. Wherever you take the Fit, you won't have to worry about hauling passengers or cargo. The Honda Fit has four seating configurations, including a utility mode that gives you 57.3 cubic feet and makes use of the car's rear tailgate. There's even a hidden storage compartment in the back seat for storing a purse or other valuables.
Under the hood, the Fit sports a 1.5-liter, 117-horsepower engine and a performance-oriented suspension that Honda says provides drivers with an "engaging on-road experience." However, some reviewers say the Fit lacks power going uphill.
In terms of fuel efficiency, the Fit has an ultra-low-emission vehicle rating from the California Air Resources Board. But for would-be Fit owners who are incredibly eco-conscious, Honda also has the Fit EV, a 100 percent electric version that can recharge in as little as three hours.
