5 safe, sensible 'date cars' for young people

Looking to find "the one" to settle down with and start a family? Then you'll have to have a vehicle that says you're family friendly. Instead of the minivan, consider an SUV that's full of style and space such as the Nissan Pathfinder.

This may impress that special person because you can shuffle your family to the circus and just as easily go on an off-road adventure with the Pathfinder. It gives you choices with the standard two-wheel-drive or optional all-wheel-drive with Auto Mode. The Auto Mode senses when roads are slippery or rough, and it automatically adjusts power to the wheels.

Even with seven passengers, the 3.5-liter six-cylinder Pathfinder S has room for up to 16 cubic feet of cargo. Want to win star-gazing points with the whole family, go with the optional dual panorama moon roof, which stretches across all three rows of seats. While the Pathfinder isn't the best when it comes to fuel efficiency, it does a satisfactory job.
