New and redesigned Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Select model:
Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Mercedes-Benz's E-class boasts a host of new safety technologies and luxury features, all housed in a dramatically restyled body. The lineup includes the 268-horsepower V-6 E350, 382-horsepower V-8 E550, and a new 507-horsepower, V-8 E63 AMG model. (In 2010, a diesel-powered E350 Bluetec will be introduced as a high-mileage version.) Rear-wheel drive is standard with all-wheel drive optional. All four engines use a seven-speed automatic transmission and a new column shifter. Inside, the dash is similar to that of Mercedes' GLK SUV. Controls are positioned ergonomically at hip level, ahead of the armrest, for easier, more intuitive operation. In addition to nine airbags, electronic stability control and traction control, the E-Class comes with Mercedes' Pre-Safe system as well as a standard Attention Assist system.
