Fall 2009 Auto Guide
New and redesigned Land Rover LR4

Land Rover LR4

Though similar to the previous LR3 SUV in overall size and shape, fresh new styling cues give the LR4 more of the Land Rover family look. Front-end styling has been significantly revised with a new front grille and new headlights. A revised suspension has been added for improved off-road performance. Inside, the LR4 features a revised center console, new steering wheel and longer seat-bottom cushions. Seating configurations for five or seven are available, while a new, more powerful V-8 delivers 375-horsepower and comes with a six-speed automatic transmission. The four-wheel-drive LR4 is equipped with Land Rover's Terrain Response system, which tailors its performance to accommodate driving/surface conditions. Standard safety features include side-impact and side curtain airbags and electronic stability control.
