Hybrid-car tax credit good one year only
Dear Terry,
Is the hybrid tax credit a one-time credit or can it be claimed for multiple years?

Andrew
Dear Andrew,
It would be great if Uncle Sam rewarded hybrid buyers every April 15 with a tax credit, but that's not the case.
The credit is a one-time-only deal, and you need to make sure that the hybrid you're thinking of buying still qualifies. Because of how the legislation was written, the credits for some Toyota and Honda hybrids may have run out. | | This week | | | | • | Best new car buys: 2006 leftovers | | • | Renegotiating car's price after contract is signed | | • | Should I refinance my car so I can get it fixed? | | • | Hybrid-car tax credit good for one year only |
