Acura MDX5 stars for front and side impact

The Acura MDX is ranked high by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, who gave it five stars in all of its front and side impact tests and a rollover rating of four stars. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety lauded the seven-seater as a Top Safety Pick, rating it "good," its highest ranking, in front, side and rear impact tests. Standard safety features include dual-stage front airbags and side-impact airbags for front seat passengers, side curtain airbags that provide coverage for all three rows of occupants as well as stay inflated during a rollover, active front head restraints, anti-lock brakes, electronic stability and traction control. Chevrolet TraverseIIHS Top Safety Pick

Introduced as a 2009 model, the Chevrolet Traverse is the corporate sibling to the Buick Enclave and GMC Acadia. It received a Top Safety Pick designation from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, which rated it "good," its highest rating, in front, side and rear impacts. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave it five stars in all its front and side impact tests and a rollover rating of four stars. Mazda CX-95 stars for front and side impact

The Mazda CX-9 received terrific marks in crash tests conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, which ranked it five stars in all its front and side impact tests and gave it a rollover rating of four stars. It also scored well in front- and side- impact tests conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, or IIHS, receiving the highest rating of "good." While the IIHS rated it only "marginal" in its rear impact tests, the CX-9 still rates substantially better than the industry average according to statistical analysis by InformedForLife.org.
