Sibling to the Kia Sportage, the Hyundai Tucson also received a redesigned front and rear end for 2009, as well as reprogramming of the transmission and torque converter to improve fuel economy. The five-seater compact crossover is powered by a 140-horsepower, 2.0-liter four-cylinder on base models, while a 173-horsepower, 2.7-liter V-6 is available on the two upper trim levels. Both engines are available with either front-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive. Standard features include air conditioning, cruise control, power windows and locks, keyless entry, a 60/40-split fold-flat rear seat and a plastic cargo floor for easy cleaning.
