Chevy touts the Cruze as spacious, safe and fuel efficient. In terms of space and legroom, it's fairly average for a compact, Edmunds says. But its 15.4 cubic feet of trunk space is well above average for the segment.
Anti-lock brakes, stability control and 10 air bags are standard safety items. But this vehicle also comes with automatic crash notification via OnStar in addition to on-demand roadside assistance.
There are five model levels available in the Cruze, including the LS, LT, LTZ, Eco and Diesel. The LS gets its kick from a 1.8-liter, four-cylinder engine. That engine puts out 138 horsepower and 125 pound-feet of torque. With the six-speed manual transmission, the vehicle gets 25 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway.
