Annamaria Lusardi is a Denit Trust Distinguished Scholar in Economics and Accountancy at The George Washington University. She is also the Director of the Financial Literacy Center, a joint Center with the Rand Corporation and the Wharton School created with the support of the Social Security Administration. She holds a Ph.D. degree in economics from Princeton University.
In 2009, Lusardi served as a faculty advisor for the Office of Financial Education of the U.S. Treasury. She was recently recognized by the New York Times as one of the six most influential economists in the area of financial reform.
