"I choose four charities every Christmastime -- usually including Greenpeace -- and make contributions in others' names. I do this for 20 to 30 people I know. For my immediate family, I still get special gifts. But this way, I've contributed to a charity and it's a well-received gift from both the charity and the person I made the contribution for."
