Gold-medal mom Mary Lou Retton shares her infectious enthusiasm about the holidays with fun and festive things she makes with her kids. "We make memory ornaments by taking a snapshot of each child and just glue it onto an ornament. We keep some and I give some to family for gifts. We also make coffee mugs with handprints. Last year the kids gave them as gifts and their grandparents and other family members are still raving. They just had to dip their hands in the paint and put them on plain white mugs and print their names. Then I had them fired at one of those 'paint your own ceramics' places." The fun doesn't stop there. "We make special beaded necklaces when it's raining. They make great gifts to give away."
