Capital One VentureOne: Earn an unlimited 1.25 miles per dollar on every purchase.

Capital One Venture: Earn an unlimited 2 miles per dollar on every purchase.

In a head-to-head match-up between VentureOne and Venture Rewards, the winner depends on your spending habits. After the first year, you’ll have to spend $4,750 just to earn enough miles to offset the Venture Rewards’ $95 annual fee. Spend that much on the no-fee Venture and you’ll have already earned $59 in travel rewards.

Your break-even point is about $13,000 in annual spending. If you plan to charge more than this, Venture Rewards should be your choice. Otherwise, the VentureOne is a worthy selection.
