Cheap flight deals soar in January

You better believe you can afford to fly. At least this month.

Savvy travelers know that January is a good time to travel, when the holiday craze has dwindled away and airports are noticeably more vacant. As an incentive to lure people away from their Netflix-binging, winter hibernations, airlines often offer deeply discounted airfares.

Major airlines including JetBlue, Delta and Southwest are currently offering rock-bottom prices, and with several three day weekends coming up, do you really need another excuse to fly high?

Remember to check the deals’ blackout dates (days that don’t apply to the deal), as well as additional fees and restrictions.
