'Chicago' star heads for the big apple
Renee Zellweger traveled a long way from her native Katy, Texas
-- including an academy-award-nominated stop in "Chicago" -- on her
way to Tinseltown stardom.
But now the 33-year-old, also Oscar-nominated for her role
in "Bridget Jones's Diary," is on the move again -- this time headed
for The Big Apple.
Zellweger, has purchased a quaint four-bedroom farmhouse in trendy
East Hampton on Long Island, and is offering her Westside, Calif., home for
sale. The walled, gated 1930s house comprises some 6,400 square feet with paneled
library, guest house, pool house, seven bedrooms and high-tech kitchen.
Price tag: $7.5 million.
Famously single for the time being, Zellweger says, "I
believe in love, but I don't sit around waiting for it. I buy houses."
