The actor played a White House official on "The West Wing" and recently he appeared before Congress as an active and concerned citizen.
He wants to promote tax credits for people who add plug-in features to their hybrid cars and trucks. "I remember the first money I ever really made in Hollywood and was able to invest I put in an alternative energy company. That was more than 25 years ago. I think for both electric and gas motors there should be a plug-in device for cleaner energy."
