Orbitz Platinum MasterCard

Issuer: Juniper Bank

APR: Zero percent for purchases and balance transfers for four months followed by a 15.99 variable rate.

Annual fee: $49

Late fee: $29

Over-the-limit fee: $29

Balance transfer fee: none

Grace period: 25 days

Rewards: Earn two points for every dollar spent on airline tickets booked through Orbitz and one point for every dollar spent elsewhere. You earn 5,000 points after your first purchase with the card. At 7,500 points, you earn a $100 discount off your next flight booked through Orbitz. You can redeem 20,000 points for a free, round-trip coach ticket for travel in the continental U.S. The ticket must be purchased through Orbitz, cost no more than $400, be purchased at least 21 days in advance and include a Saturday night stay.

Travelocity Platinum MasterCard

Issuer: Citibank

APR: 16.74 variable rate for purchases; zero percent on balance transfers for six months followed by a 16.74 variable rate.

Annual fee: First year free, after that $50 a year

Late fee: $15 on balances under $100; $25 on balances of $100 to $1,000; $35 on balances of $1,000 and more

Over-the-limit fee: $29

Balance transfer fee: 3 percent of transferred balance, but not less than $5

Grace period: 20 to 25 days

Rewards: Earn one point for every dollar you spend with the card. Earn three points for every dollar of billed finance charges. You earn 4,000 points for your first purchase or balance transfer with the card. After 8,000 points you receive a reward certificate for $100 off any air fare, car rental, hotel room or cruise booked through Travelocity.
