Small Business BasicsOnce you have decided that building a business is not for you, but business ownership is, there are plenty of places to search for a company to buy. If you have an industry in mind, the trade associations can be a great source of information.

You can also contact business brokers, many of whom are listed online at sites like Handilinks. Most newspaper classified ads have a "businesses for sale" section. You can also call a commercial real estate agent for current business listings.
