New for '09
 Ford F-150
Ford F-150   Originally set to debut in September, the all-new F-150 pickup has been delayed at least two months because of falling sales. Given the usual lead time in designing an all-new vehicle, don't expect the new F-150 to suddenly become a green, fuel-saving vehicle, since today's gas prices likely weren't factored into the planning. Under the hood will be a choice of three engines -- two versions of the 4.6-liter V-8 and a 5.4-liter V-8. A four-speed automatic will be coupled to the base V-8, while upgraded V-8s will run with a six-speed automatic. Inside the cab, there will be as many as 30 different storage areas, including a center console that can swallow two laptops. Standard for 2009 will be AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control and Trailer Sway Control. The chassis has also been stiffened by 10 percent over the 2008 model, which should result in higher towing capacity. No word yet on pricing, but in this environment buyers may see the new F-150 come to market with factory incentives.
