Pickup | Performance
No matter how concerned buyers are about fuel economy, it's a given that most still want a vehicle that accelerates well. We rank the cars that deliver the most bang for buck.
Chevrolet Silverado SS Classic 345 horsepower 6-liter V8
Chevrolet Silverado   High-performance in a vehicle made to haul cargo may seem like an oxymoron, but since many pickups only see light hauling duty, it's not surprising that a few "sport'' pickups are available. Chevy's version plays on the Super Sport logo and features a big V8. MSRP: $33,280.
 Dodge Ram Mega Cab 345-horsepower 5.7-liter V8
Dodge Ram Mega Cab   Until recently, Dodge offered the most outrageous pickup, the R/T, which came with the 500-horsepower V10 derived from the Viper sports car. It was never a big seller, so now people looking for something with more oomph will have to settle for the Ram Mega Cab with its 345-horsepower V8. MSRP: $32,695.
 Ford F-150 Harley Davidson 300-horsepower 5.4-liter
Ford F-150 Harley Davidson   In past years the Harley Davidson model came with a supercharged V8 that was a major tire-burner. Also in past years, Ford's Special Vehicle Team produced some blazing pickups. Today's Harley F-150 has a lot of bling and only moderate V8 power. MSRP: $36,500-$39,500.
