Saab adds a Subaru at higher price

Saab purists are still gnashing their teeth
over the summer 2004 introduction of the 9-2X, which is a Subaru
WRX sport sedan with a Saab badge and minor styling changes. And
starting at more than $23,000, it's more expensive than the Subaru.
While it's a competent performer, the 9-2X lacks
the quirky and unique touches that have come to be associated with
Saab.
The more traditional 9-3 and 9-5 Saabs continue unchanged.
