Mini puts her top down

The trendy Mini Cooper two-door continues to sell well, but the lineup needed more than one model.

Enter the Mini Cooper convertible, which takes the agility and fun of the hardtop and lowers the roof.

The power top opens fully in just 15 seconds, but can also be partially opened like a sunroof.

The convertible adds a little more than $4,000 to the already reasonable Mini price. The convertible starts at about $21,000 and rises to nearly $25,000 for the high-performance S version.
