Unable to boost lackluster sales, Jaguar soldiers
on with few changes for 2005. Late in the model year, the underselling
X-Type will get a station-wagon version and an optional diesel engine.
Both additions are popular in Europe, but it's
questionable whether they will do well in the U.S.
The flagship, all-aluminum XJ sedan -- the best Jag sedan ever -- is now available in two versions: big and bigger,
thanks to a stretch version suitable for chauffeuring.
The S-Type gets a few tweaks like a new front bumper, grille and aluminum hood.
