Tucson joins Santa Fe at Hyundai

The six-model Hyundai lineup is expanded for 2005 by the Tucson, a compact crossover SUV that will be positioned below the Santa Fe.

It's based on the Elantra chassis and comes standard with a 140-horsepower four-cylinder engine.

A 173-horsepower, 2.7-liter V6 is optional, as is all-wheel-drive.

Prices will start at about $18,000 and run to more than $23,000 for a top-of-the-line model.
