| After years of
following far behind Lexus and even Infiniti in offering a flagship luxury sedan
worthy of the title, Acura for 2005 has finally gotten with the program.
The all-new RL is a distinctive vehicle that offers a decidedly
different driving experience than the Lexus LS 430 or the Infiniti Q45 -- its
main competitors. Although it still lacks a V8 -- the engine
standard of this class -- the RL's V6 has been upped to 300 horsepower. That power
is transmitted to all four wheels via a full-time system that makes the Acura
more of a sporty sedan than others in this class.
Priced at about $49,000, the Acura RL has about a
$7,000 price advantage over the Lexus LS 430 or the Infiniti Q45.
The RL is one of Bankrate's 10 new cars to watch.
