Bentley bills itself as the symbol of British coach
building, with specifications so custom it's like having your own
private car company. To prove its case, the 2005 Arnage T stares down
potential buyers with its round headlamps featuring Xenon dip and
Halogen full beam, a new bonnet and either a matrix or vaned radiator
grill.
And if its 19-inch wheel rim's seven-spoke design doesn't send
shivers down your spine, you're too practical to keep reading.
Inside, engineers twiddled with the center console,
hiding such mundane controls as the buttons for the electric seats
and the heater under a sliding panel behind the gear-lever. The
driver can conceal the stereo, ash tray and ventilation controls
behind that wood panel as well.
And to avoid spoiling this clean dashboard, Bentley
flush-fitted the DVD-based satellite navigation system so it doesn't
stick out like a sore thumb. The new diamond-pattern upholstery
blends right in, too. But, then, who's looking, with the backseats
recessed deeply enough to watch two 12-inch DVD screens?
