With all the hassles of moving, the last thing you want to do is waste
time.
If you're moving, you'll need to let the United States Postal
Service know the address you'd like to have your mail forwarded to. And
if you've moved in the past, you probably remember that the Postal Service
offers the Mover's Guide, a booklet with special offers, moving tips and
the critical change-of-address form.
MoversNet is an expanded Internet version of that hardcopy guide.
You can find the change of address form on the Web site, rather than going
to the post office to pick one up. But there are still some limits on
the interactivity of the site since you must print out the form, sign
it and give it to your letter carrier; take it to the post office to drop
it off; or mail it in. Still, you could avoid standing in line filling
out a form. You can also use the site to answer your questions about receiving
mail at your new address and find tips on moving which cover everything
from packing your television to moving with animals and kids.
