Featured cars then and now

Like the magazine and the television show, Car & Driver Online is geared toward auto enthusiasts. It delivers. The site offers in-depth news and analysis, and road tests on all the latest cars, trucks and sport utility vehicles. You can even get a glimpse into the future with the site’s concept cars section.

The site is well organized and easy to navigate. There’s a searchable archive, which dates back to 1995, and a Then and Now section, which illustrates how an auto may have changed over the years. For example, a recent then and now compared the 1980 Volkswagen Jetta to the 1999 model. The site also boasts The Daily Auto Insider section, which serves up short blurbs on all the latest happenings in the auto world.

      Best bets:
  • Road Tests: How the newest autos perform on the road.
  • Top Stories: The latest news from the auto world.
  • Concept Cars: Sneek a peek at future car designs.
