Fees on foreign credit card charges

The cost of using a credit card overseas is going up.

Several major credit card companies are charging 2 percent fees on purchases made outside the United States on top of the 1 percent currency exchange fees long levied by Visa and MasterCard.

Here's a look at the overseas fee policies of some the nation's largest credit card issuers, excluding the traditional 1 percent fees from Visa and MasterCard:
