What's a CD Rate Alert?
A CD Rate Alert is an e-mail notification that CD rates in the market you selected have risen above the target range you set. For instance, if you're monitoring three-month CDs in Detroit, and you set 1 percent as your target, whenever rates rise above that you'll receive a Rate Alert.

Can I track rates for more than one type of CD?
Yes! You can track up to three CD types when you subscribe to Rate Alerts. So, for example, you can track rates for a six-month CD, a one-year CD, and a five-year CD for your local area at the same time!

Why should I sign up?
If you're in the market for a CD, you probably already know that CD rates are low. Of course, you want to earn as much as you can on your savings, so you'll want to know when rates begin to rise. You could constantly check Bankrate.com to see if rates have risen, or you could save yourself all the time and effort and let us do the work for you!

How often will I receive them?
It's difficult to say -- CD rates fluctuate. As soon as CD rates rise above your target in your selected area, you'll receive a Rate Alert.

What if I need to make changes to my Rate Alert?
It's easy! All you have to do is click on any of the Rate Alert links located throughout the Bankrate site, click on "My Alerts" and make your edits.
