Buyer’s remorse drives woman to tears
I have severe buyer’s remorse after taking delivery of a new Mazda 3i three days ago. I’ve only driven the car 15 miles since I bought it, and actually did not take it to work today out of fear.
The day after I bought the car (mind you it is a newer model than the one I traded in), I saw that it is not as well rated for safety as other cars of its size and class. I am concerned because I am on the road 100 miles a day (50 to and from work).
I was getting 30 to 31 highway miles (per gallon) on the 2006 model, and hopefully will get the same with this one. I don’t know where my head was at when I bought the car, as I was originally only going to buy an extended warranty on the 2006 model. Can I do anything at this point? I’m to the point where I cried myself to sleep last night.
Dry your tears. The Mazda 3i is a fine car and has a good safety record. The consumer Web site Edmunds.com says, “The Mazda 3 is a well-priced sedan that looks as good as it drives.”
Reviews by owners are generally even more enthusiastic. So put away the remorse and enjoy the new car.
