Chris was born and raised in Montana. He attended Deep Springs College and the American University of Paris, and he lived in Paris for many years.
Chris has reported for The New York Times, the late International Herald Tribune, Bloomberg Businessweek, Radio France International, Architects' Journal, The Guardian and Pacific Standard Magazine. His work has also been published in the London Review of Books.
Chris led coverage of European mergers and acquisitions, investment banks and venture capital for DealBook and Bloomberg News.
